  • Appointed as the President & Group CEO in July 2020
  • Areas of expertise include developing and steering key business strategies, organisational transformation, and financial and risk management.
  • Strategic priority: Driving PETRONAS’ Energy Transition Strategy, to pair with a strong operational performance across the group’s integrated energy portfolio. Demonstrate a commitment to sustainable and responsible value generation.

Liza Mustapha

  • Strategic priority: Exercising strict capital discipline and robust portfolio management. Employing a balanced approach between strengthening Core Business and while capturing opportunities under New Business in line with the execution of PETRONAS’ Energy Transition Strategy.

Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer

Charlotte Wolff-Bye

  • Strategic priority: Develop clear action plans across value chain to ensure both environmental responsibility while ensuring sustainable business growth. Near-term target: cap GHG emissions at 49.5 million tonnes CO2e from Malaysia operations by end of 2024.

Datuk Adif Zulkifli

  • Strategic priority: Developing carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects as a key solution to support sustainable energy security, aligning to NZCE 2050 Pathway.

Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, Downstream

Datuk Sazali Hamzah

  • Strategic priority: Strengthening foothold in specialty chemicals, expanding convenience business through Café Mesra and Setel, grow PETRONAS’ presence in the Asian lubricant market, driving customer-centric solutions for long-term value creation.

Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, Gas

Adnan Zainol Abidin

  • Strategic priority: Positioning natural gas as the key transitional fuel in response to increasing energy prices and global shift towards lower carbon energy sources. Reducing GHG emissions across the natural gas value chain through digitalisation, focusing on decarbonisation and electrification initiatives.

Senior Vice President, Project Delivery & Technology

Ir Mohd Yusri Mohamed Yusof

  • Strategic priority: (Appointed 1 Jan 2024) Deployment of key technology and delivery of capital projects to shape and safeguard operations across the value chain. This includes beefing up internal tools to facilitate project management, technical expertise, technology research, development and digitalisation. A key focus is to ensure technology investments support key business growth priorities in CCS, renewable energy, hydrogen and advanced materials.

Chief Executive Officer, Gentari

Sushil Purohit

  • Strategic priority: Expanding commercial and industrial projects across Asia Pacific, with plans to grow utility-scale solar and wind projects in Malaysia. Expanding hydrogen business through strategic partnerships to target early adopters. Aims to expand charging points in Malaysia, India, Thailand and possibly Indonesia while establishing a strong VaaS fleet in these regions.
