Leadership
Minister of Education
YB Fadhlina bt Sidek
- A lawyer by education, she began her political career in 2020 after joining Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) and appointed as Chairman of the Women’s Bureau of Law and Community Development. She was then elected as the Women’s Chief of PKR in July 2022.
- Appointed as education minister under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s cabinet in December 2022.
- First female education minister in Malaysian history
- YB Fadhlina leads the ministry by setting and driving educational policy directions nationwide.
Deputy Minister of Education
YB Wong Kah Woh
- Serving as the Minister of Education’s Deputy Minister since December 2023, succeeding Lim Hui Ying’s position.
- Member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP) and is the Member of Parliament (MP) for Taiping.
- YB Wong assists the Minister of Education in the implementation of nationwide educational policies.
Secretary General
Dato’ Ts. Dr. Hj. Aminuddin bin Hassim
- Appointed as Secretary General in February 2025
- Has served in the Economic Planning Unit, the Implementation Coordination Unit, the Prime Minister’s Department and the Pahang State Secretary’s Office.
- His current role is to oversee the MOE’s administrative and operational performance.
Deputy Secretary General (Administrative) & Chief Digital Officer (CDO)
Dato’ Ahmad Suhaimi bin Endut
- As Deputy Secretary General, Dato’ Suhaimi assists the secretary general in implementing administrative and operational policies across MOE’s institutions.
- As Chief Digital Officer, Dato’ Suhaimi drives digitalisation initiatives through data utilisation, analysis and the implementation of digital technology. He is also in charge of allocating, approving and disseminating digital infrastructure, Technical Service Design, and development budgets while managing agencies as the key driver of digital initiatives and projects.
Deputy Secretary General (Planning & Development)
Wan Hashim bin Wan Rahim
- Appointed as Deputy Secretary General at Ministry of Education in June 2023
- Former Assistant Secretary at Ministry of Health Malaysia, Department of Planning & Development
Director General
Azman bin Adnan
- Over 34 years of experience in the education sector including serving as Segamat district education officer, Johor State education deputy director and Johor state education director.
- Has held posts at MOE as Vocational Technical Education and Training Division director, Curriculum Development division director, and Daily School Management division director
